Reading already?!!!
Recently the girls have learnt to sit in their high chairs to eat food...but sometimes we use the high chairs for other things - like teaching them to read! (just kidding). Here's a small gallery of the girls fighting to read!
Birthday party!
New addition to the family
We finally bit the bullet and bought an MPV last week - its a Toyota Estima (in Oz they call them Tarago's). We got a great deal on a sports model (of course we had to buy the sports version to make it feel less of a van). Its got some great gadgets - like remote controlled sliding doors, a moonroof & sunroof, and "captains chairs" which are the second row of seats, which fully recline and have footrests that pop out (just like flying business class!). The other cool thing is that it comes with 2 LCD Tv's and a Playstation! So we will be having lots of fun with this car. Jon is already planning to lower it (its just too high!!!!).
We both thought we'd never ever buy an MPV (its not even turbocharged!), but i guess its a sign of the times...man i miss our old WRX & the Nissan 180sx coupe...

Feeding time!
The girls having been eating solids for 2mths now - preparation of the food is quite an arduous task, as it involves cutting, steaming, pureeing and straining...on the weekends Jon and Grandpa help with the feeding. Katherine loves her solids and will polish off her meal in about 15-20mins. Katelyn is always resisting her food, and she can sometimes take 1hr to feed! Her record is 1.5hours...she must be walking in Jon's footsteps, as he reportedly took up to 2hrs to feed in his younger days!

Reaching for the skies
Katelyn has just had a nice yank on the baby bears above her! Both girls have mobiles above their cots, and when they were really small, they were constantly trying to reach up and pull at the bears or rabbits attached to their mobiles. Now they are so tall that they can stand up and pull on the mobiles themselves!
Standing in their cots
Happy Katherine on the left and Katelyn with her tongue sticking out (she's now learnt to buzzzz using her tongue and lips) on the right. Most mornings when we come into their room, they will both be standing up in their cots, making noises and attempting to talk to each other. They both love standing up and trying to lick the top of the cot railings!
Two little tigers
Katherine on the left and Katelyn on the right, sitting in Katherine's cot and trying to get at the toys underneath the changing table next to the cot. Even at this age they have Spiderman arm's and superhuman grip, and somehow manage to pull things from under the table.
